Finals: Senior Grand Challenge & Presidents League

September 7 - The finals of the Senior Grand Challenge will take place on Wednesday at the University of Johannesburg and will see Randfontein and Harlequins battle it out for top honours in this league.

Harlequins surprised one and all when they exited the unbeaten West Wits on their own ground in Carletonville in the semi-finals last week to secure their spot in the final. And Randfontein beat a game Johannesburg Police side convincingly 40-13 to earn their place in the final.

Unbeaten top dog Soweto meanwhile will be the undoubted favourites when they go up against Eden Park in the final of the Presidents league on Wednesday. This final will also be played at UJ.

Soweto have dominated proceedings in this years’ league, winning their semi-final against Eldoronians by 67-0 last week.

Matches kick off at 19:00 and 21:00.
