Randfontein does it a second time |

September 8 - Randfontein won their second title in ten years at the University of Johannesburg on Wednesday when they beat Harlequins 43-8 in the final of the Senior Grand Challenge.
Randfontein won the title in 2007 the last time but have always been one of the top teams in the league, going to down to West Wits in the final last year.
Coached by Theuns Botha and captained by lock Corrie van Niekerk, the men from Randfontein only lost three matches in the league this year – against West Wits, Inquina and Wanderers.
They beat Johannesburg Police in the semi-final.
As predicted Soweto won the Presidents League convincingly when they beat Edenpark 33-17 in the final. Soweto was firm favourites’ as they were the only unbeaten side in the league.
Edenpark’s Under 19’s however did manage to go home with a trophy when their Under 19’s snatched a win over Eldoronians, winning 29-24.
