Lions away for first three Currie Cup games |

The Golden Lions will be playing their first three Absa Currie Cup matches away from home, starting with the Leopards in Potchefstroom on July 8 – and then they face defending champions Blue Bulls ain their home match on July 31.
In a tough draw, the Lions will also play only three home matches in the first round and five in the second, according to the fixtures on the SA Rugby website.
The Golden Lions fixtures are: July 9: v Leopards, Potchefstroom July 17: v Western Province, Newlands July 24: v Griquas, Kimberley July 31: v Blue Bulls, Coca-Cola Park Park Aug 7: v Sharks, Durban Aug 14: v Cheetahs, Coca-Cola Park Aug 20: v Pumas, Witbank Aug 27: v Leopards, Coca-Cola Park Sept 3: v Western Province, Coca-Cola Park Sept 11: v Griquas, Coca-Cola Park Sept. 17: v Blue Bulls, Loftus Sept 24: v Sharks, Coca-Cola Park Oct 1: v Cheetahs, Bloemfontein Oct 8: v Pumas, Coca-Cola Park.
