The Xerox Lions delivered a rousing performance for their fans as much as for themselves as they saw off a committed Western Province side 27-25 in their final match of the 2009 Absa Currie Cup season.

The Xerox Lions pushed The Sharks all the way before going down 19-17 at The Absa Stadium Durban on Saturday afternoon, a defeat which killed their semifinal hopes.

A totally different, but equally important challenge awaits the Xerox Lions in the Absa Currie Cup this weekend as they travel to Durban to take on the high-riding Sharks in their penultimate match of the pool stages.
