Buys began his professional rugby career at the Bulls Rugby Union where he was a regular in the U19 and U21 squads. Buys moved over to France during the Northern Hemisphere’s 2008/09 season, where he earned 16 caps. He joined the Lions in 2009 where he became a regular in the starting line up during the Currie Cup. At just 23 years of age, Buys has a bright future ahead of him, and he will no doubt use every opportunity during the Super 14 to gain experience, momentum and ensure he cements himself in the team. |
