U/21 Xerox Lions Final Game

The U/21 Xerox Lions team will be playing the U/21 Vodacom Western Province on Saturday, 10 October 2009 in their final game of the season.

“It has really been a season of many highs and lows. With 12 of the players being struck with swine flu earlier in the year it really hit the team hard, and we are only now getting back into form and picking up on performance”, assistant coach Kaya Malotana said.

However, it is too late for the team to make the semi-finals. However, under the circumstances, the union and players walk away from the season with their heads held high.

“Justin Wheeler, our team captain, and Rudy Paige have really stood out this season and have really made a huge impact in the team. I look forward to seeing what they will pull out of their sleeves in the future”, Malotana concluded.
