Badenhorst in Marauders team for Dubai Invitational

November 18 - Experienced Golden Lions Sevens player Derich Badenhorst has been included in the SA Marauders 7s team to participate in the Dubai International Club Invitational Tournament on December 2 and 3.

 

Badenhorst is one of three Lions players who will take part in the training camp in Stellenbosch from Sunday until the team’s departure for Dubai on November 27. The other two Lions players are Juwell Samuels and Gerhard Scholtz , who will take part in the training camp as standby-players for the tournament.

The Marauders also include contracted SA Sevens players Neil Powell and MJ Mentz and SA Sevens Academy player Dirk Dippenaar. Five of the eight non-contracted players are from the North Regions Sevens Series that dominated the provincial championships at Ravensmead two weeks ago.
