Monnas Genesis Festival to celebrate 90th anniversary

March 20 - Defending Beeld trophy champions Hoërskool Monument kick off their 90-year rugby celebrations when they host the Monnas Genesis Rugby Festival from Wednesday March 30 April to Monday April 4.

For the occasion they have invited some of South Africa’s leading schools as well as a Lions Invitation XV to play in two matches each.

Paarl Gimnasium will bring two teams – and such is the strength of the top rugby schools that their second team will be the equal of most of the competitors at the tournament.

The participating teams are:

Outeniqua (SWD); Waterkloof (Blue Bulls); Diamantveld (Griquas); Kearsney College (KZN); Paarl Gimnasium (two teams), WP; and local/nearby teams from Monument (Kwaggas), St. John's Boys College ( JHB), Parktown Boys, Kemptonpark, Golden Lions Invitation XV (all Gauteng).
