Monnas and country's best at Wildeklawer festival

March 21 - Beeld Trophy champions Hoërskool Monument, celebrating its 90th anniversary, will again take part in the Wildeklawer Super Schools Invitation Festival that will be hosted by Hoërskool Diamantveld in Kimberley this year.

Each of the 17 invited schools – including a Wildeklawer XV - will play two matches in the tournament on April 30 and May 2, with the exception of Griquas’ Duineveld that takes the place of Marlow Landbou on Day 2.

Eleven of the schools that took part in the Wildeklawer Festival in Pretoria last year have again been invited, with Marlow andbou the newcomers on Day on and Duineveld the other team that wasn’t at Affies for last year’s tournament.

Monnas will play the tough Boland Lndbou and Outeniqua (SWD) in a competition that boasts eight of last year’s top 10 schools on the national ranking list.

The programme for the two days is:

Saturday, April 30:

08h00 Wildeklawer v Marlow Landbou,

09h15 Diamantveld v Framesby.
