Golden Lions retain North Region Sevens title

October 22 - The Golden Lions beat the Blue Bulls in the Cup Final of the Valke tournament in the North Region Sevens Series to retain the title they won last year. The Lions’ domination of the competition was emphasised by the huge 59-15 win which will provide them with much-needed confidence before the provincial Sevens championships in East London early in November.

The Lions, coached by former World Cup and Sevens Springbok Jorrie Muller, lost in the final of last year’s national competition.
