Profile Paragraph: Adriaanse began his professional career when he represented his country in the 2003 and 2004 U/19 World Championships. Shortly thereafter, he signed with Western Province where he remained for three years part as a part of the U21 and Vodacom Cup teams. In 2008, he moved to Boland for two years and then did a years stint with the Griquas. In 2011 the Lions signed Adriaanse up to their Vodacom Cup team, but he was so impressive, the coaching staff soon pulled him into the Super Rugby squad. His dedication, work ethic and talent ensured that Adriaanse played in 15 of the 16 Currie Cup matches which led to the Johannesburg based team winning the 2011 competition.
