Lions Women’s team in the finals

May 10 - The Lions Women’s team was promoted to the A Division at the end of 2009 after coming first in the B Division. They have now shown why they deserve to be in the A Division by making the finals. The ladies beat the Eastern Province Women’s team 18-15 on Saturday in a nail-biter of a match, which delivered exactly the kind of rugby expected in a semi-final match. They will meet Western Province this Saturday, 15 May in Cape Town, but the venue is yet to be confirmed.
