Lionesses lose out in final

May 17 – The Golden Lions Rugby Union’s Women’s team played Western Province Women on Saturday, 15 May 2010 at Cape Town Villagers Rugby Club in the SA National A Competition Final. The Lions were unfortunate to lose out to the home team by 26 points to their 12. However, the GLRU is incredibly proud of the ladies for making it to the final. In 2009 they were in the B division, but moved to the A division in 2010, and to make the final in their first year is a huge achievement.
