BokSmart training programme at GLRU

BokSmart encompasses the “Bok” brand and playing and “Smart’ rugby is safe AND effective rugby. Carrying the flag for this brand comes with a huge responsibility as BokSmart aims to standardise the way these safety principles are implemented across the board via facilitated education. All coaches and referees are encouraged to apply these principles, and should embrace the main focus of the programme, and that is to keep players safer on the field, grow the game and improve player performance on the field. The Golden Lions Rugby Union is responsible for the implementation of the BokSmart program within its jurisdiction and shall monitor and control at both matches and practices that the referees and coaches have been BokSmart trained.
