We are very excited about the 2010 rugby season. The aim of the Coaches Association is to equip coaches even better, to improve the quality of rugby. Good coaches do not only give training but are also open to receive training .
That is one of the areas that we are going to spend a lot of time on in 2010. Our motto for 2010 is “Back to Basics”. The seminars that we hosting will focus on the easily forgotten basic skills of rugby. The Coaches Association strive to develop the full potential of every affiliated coach.
SARU requested all Rugby Unions to establish Coaches Associations and the GLRU wants every coach to affiliate to our Association. The GLRU Coaches Association have had most of the required procedures in place for a number of years. The Association was established in 1994 and provided mainly in the social need of members. Since last year we have taken our commitment to a new level by investing more into skills development. This year we will continue with that and even more!
