The Ingonyama League finals will be taking place this Friday, 16 October 2009, at the Bill Jardine Stadium.
The U/19 final will be contested by Alexandra Wolves and the Ennerdale Phantoms. Kick off for this clash of the titans is scheduled for 18:00.
The senior final will be an all West Rand affair with the protagonist being Khosa Rugby Club and Kagiso Sting.
It is good to know that a new champion will be crowned in the senior division while Ennerdale has the opportunity to defend their U/19 title won last year.
Club rugby at this entry level is extremely healthy and it bodes well for the Lions that so many clubs are being established in communities that were not previously very active at club level. |
