11 Golden Lions refs on national panels

November 24 - Refereeing in Golden Lions territory is going extremely well, and no less than 11 members of the Golden Lions Rugby Referees’ Society are on the panel of the SA referees Association  announced on Monday. Tiaan Jonker and Rasta Rashivenga are on the provincial panel while Pieter de Villiers, Eduan Nel and Petros Sambo are on the contenders panel; Madel de Villiers and Ilana Scholtz are on  the women’s panel; Willie Roos is a national selector and Eugene de Villiers ia a national selector (women); and Theuns Janse van Vuuren and Pierre Oelofse are national match reviewers. **  The complete list of appointments by the SA referees associaion for 2011 is: National Panel (Alphabetical order) Stuart Berry, Jason Jaftha, Marius Jonker, Craig Joubert, Jonathan Kaplan, Mark Lawrence, Pro Legoete, Sindile Mayende, Jaco Peyper, Joey Salmans, Lourens Van der Merwe.
